Apple Festival Day Trip in Westminster, SC with Outdoor Recreation
Saturday, September 12, 8:00 am - 8:00 pm, $19 per person; includes transportation. Beginning the day after Labor Day and running through the following weekend, the South Carolina Apple Festival celebrates the beginning of apple harvest season in Oconee County, the largest apple-producing area in the state. The annual festival has drawn thousands of visitors to the Westminster, South Carolina area since its first appearance in 1961. Day for Kids
Saturday, September 19, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm, Legion Pool. Boys and Girls Clubs of Fort Jackson will be celebrating a Day for Kids. We will have an old fashion Bar-B-Q, water games and fun for everyone with food, fun and prizes. Free of charge and everyone is invited. This is a chance for adults to spend meaningful time with youth. BGC Day for Kids is a day set aside each year to spend meaningful time with kids. Planned activities include swimming, swimming contests for prizes and a pool side picnic.

According to the website, BGC Day for Kids is celebrated annually on the third Saturday in September and is a day set aside each year to celebrate and honor America's children by spending meaningful time celebrating kids-children, grandchildren or any child in need of mentoring.
