Uniforms and Dress Codes
Fort Jackson on post schools has no uniform policy at this time, but student dress
must meet basic standards for health, safety, cleanliness, and decency. Students are
not permitted to wear or display items which represent drugs, alcohol products, gang
membership, or which promote violence or interfere with the orderly operation of
the school.
Some elementary schools in Richland One and Two do have uniform policies.
Contact each school web site for uniform and dress code policies. ( These can
be found by accessing the District site and then clicking on “schools”)
The Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children has
been passed in South Carolina. South Carolina joins 31 other states by
recognizing that the mobile military lifestyle creates tough challenges for
children who attend, on average, six to nine different school systems from
Kindergarten to 12th grade.
