The event will take place on Saturday, September 11th.  The doors to Hilton Field will open at 5:30 pm.  The opening act will begin at 7:00 and Kid Rock will begin at approximately 8:30 and play until approximately 10:00 pm.  Please leave early to allow yourself enough time to get through the base gates and park your vehicle – satellite parking may be required.  Entry Gates for Fort Jackson open for all traffic at 4:00 p
m.

Other: Ticket free to DOD ID card holders (limit 2 per location, per day) NON ID card holders can purchase tickets at Ticket Master  (all tickets available on 6 AUG 2010).  Must have a valid DOD ID to gain entry with free ticket. This show intended for mature audiences.

Kid Rock is one of today’s most diversified and influential artists.  He is a musical chameleon producing a mixture of songs that uniquely span various genres including Rock, Hip Hop and Country.  Blackberry Smoke, Atlanta based opening act, continues to grow into the premiere Southern Rock band of America. Over the last 12 months they have shared the stage with ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Shooter Jennings, Cross Canadian Ragweed and countless others.

This event is intended for mature audiences and will take place on Hilton Field which is part of Ft. Tickets

Military Tickets
Tickets are complimentary to those with a valid DOD ID.  Please visit MWR and AAFES facilities to pick up tickets – there is a two ticket limit per visit.  Must have and show a valid DOD ID or proof of family status along with tickets for entry. Without these IDs entry will be denied or purchase of a ticket at the door will be required .


Public Tickets
Those without a DOD ID can purchase a ticket in advance for $30 online and at all Ticketmaster locations.  South Carolina Ticketmaster locations can be found in Publix Supermarkets. Please visit www.KidRock.com or www.Ticketmaster.com for details.

 

Veterans
Veterans can pick up free tickets, but must show proof of service. No free tickets for family members of veterans.


Directions
Fort Jackson is located in Columbia, South Carolina. The city is located in the center of the state and is accessible from three major highways – I-20, I-26, and I-77. I-95 and I-85 are a short drive away. Fort Jackson is located at exit #12 off of I-77. The nearest airport is the Columbia Metropolitan Airport located about 25 minutes from Fort Jackson. An option is to fly into Charlotte, North Carolina which is about one and a half hours away. Hilton Field is located within Ft. Jackson – there will be signs directing you to the venue once you have entered the base. I’ve never been on a Military Base before – what can I expect?
We’re glad you’re here! Thousands of civilians visit Ft. Jackson each year.  To access the base, each person in your vehicle will need a government issued ID such as a driver’s license or state ID. You may be selected for a vehicle or bag search. Please leave early to allow enough time to enter the gates on base as there may be a line.


Parking
Free parking will be available to all attendees.  There is a lot adjacent to the field and additional satellite parking is available nearby.  Handicapped Parking is available as well.


Handicapped Accessible
The field and bleachers are wheelchair accessible.  Handicapped Parking is available as well.


Seating
The event is general admission so there are no assigned seats.  There will be standing room on the lawn in front of the stage and bleacher seating toward the back of the field.  You are welcome to bring blankets and lawn chairs, however coolers and outside food and beverage are not allowed.  Please note that the trainees of Ft. Jackson will be in an area that is not open to the public. 



Concessions
Food and beverages will be available for sale.  Kid Rock and Blackberry Smoke merchandise will be for sale also.  Beer will be available for those 21+.  Jim Beam products will not be for sale. 


Children
There is no age restriction for this event though it is intended for mature audiences only (17 and older is preferred).  Every person requires a ticket. DOD ID holders can bring family members as long as the name is the same on their ID. 


Prohibited Items
No video cameras, audio recording devices, professional photography equipment, flash photography of any kind, coolers, outside food and beverage, weapons, illegal substances or pets are allowed; no bottles (alcohol), no contact with basic training Soldiers, no offensive or revealing attire.  Smoking is discouraged and is allowed only in designated smoking areas.
