Pamela Greene

 

Pamela Greene

Pam holds various certifications including AFAA and ISSA, Pam has been teaching for more than 12 years.  Her favorite style of class is yoga.  She enjoys building a stronger relationship with Christ on her Christian walk.  She is a fitness trainer and organizer of various wellness programs that promote greater health and fitness. 

Fitness philosophy: “Everything is better when you work it out!”

Cindy Hartman

 

Cyndy Hartman

AFAA and Pilates certified, Cyndy has been teaching since September 2005.  Her favorite style of class is Pilates.  She devotes her free time to studying and exercising.  She is a full time Occupational Therapist.

Fitness philosophy: “Just do it!”

Alecia Porter

Fitour certified Alecia is new to the world of teaching, but not new to fitness.  Her favorite style of class is cardio boxing.  She loves to travel and cook new dishes.  She is an accounting, insurance and investment business owner.

Fitness philosophy: “Work out to stay healthy mentally, physically and spiritually.  Take care of your body and your body will take care of you.”

ACE certified for 25 years and Pamela has been teaching for 10 years with MWR. Her favorite style of exercise is working with special populations. She is married and a mother of two.  She enjoys reading, classical and ballroom dancing as well as opera.  She is an instructor of water and land classes.

 

Harry Williams

 

Harry Williams

Health Directions Certified as well holding a certification in Zumba, Harry has been teaching for more than 14 years.  His favorite styles of exercise are step, jazz aerobics with Zumba a real favorite as well.  Harry works as a full time art teacher for Lexington Middle School.

Fitness Philosophy: “Fitness belongs to everybody and fitness is for every body.”

 

Chris Siau

Chris Siau

ACE certified, Chris is new to teaching, but not to fitness.  As a personal trainer, he has been working with people for almost 6 years. His favorite workout is circuit training. His favorite hobbies include just being active. He enjoys tennis, cycling, and being outdoors.

Fitness philosophy: "Consistency…spend less time trying to learn the new exercise or diet and concentrate on just healthy living everyday."

Anna Viviano

Anna Viviano

Anna Viviano is a certified personal trainer through the International Sports Sciences Association, and a certified group instructor through FiTour. She has previously worked as a trainer at a Washington Sports Club in the Bethesda, Maryland area. Her favorite forms of exercise are step aerobics, weight-lifting, and any form of interval training.

Anna is working on her doctorate of musical arts at the University of South Carolina and she loves spending time with her husband, three cats, and one big goofy dog. 

C & C Line Dancers

C & C Soul Line Dancers

C & C Soul Line Dancing teach line dance with the Family and Morale, Welfare & Recreation (Family and MWR) department at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.  We feel dancing has emerged and is an earmark in the fitness world. C& C has been teaching soul line dance for 4 years.  We are currently certified Group Exercise Instructors with FITOUR. 

Cheryl’s hobbies include tap dance, modern & jazz, and now line dancing, sports, volleyball and reading.  Charlena enjoys dancing, reading, traveling and spending time with family. C & C Soul Line Dancers motto is “Fitness is a journey, and you can choose the style of fitness to take you to your destination.  When you get to that destination, do it like Nobody’s Watching.  

James A. Lewis

James A. Lewis

An ACE certified trainer since 2009; Jim is also a register yoga teach at the 200 hour training level.  He has been teaching yoga for 8 years.  When Jim is not exercising, he enjoying fixing and restoring old houses, snow skiing as well as working with wood.

Fitness philosophy: “Fitness is a journey to make ourselves better.  Keep moving and everything will work out."

Althea Stewart

Althea Stewart is new to group exercise instructing. She currently is a certified Fitour cycling instructor. She teaches spinning on Tuesday evenings at 6pm at Vanguard gym. Althea is a volunteer instructor who gives of her time weekly to show her love and support for fitness and the Fort Jackson community

Cortez Benson

Cortez Benson is new to group exercise instructing, but not training. He currently is AFAA Aquatics certified and teaches water aerobics here on Fort Jackson on Thursdays at 5:30pm. You can also join Cortez on Mondays at 6pm training groups in TRX at Vanguard gym. Cortez is also a part of our personal training program and is available.
