Frequently Asked Questions
The Joe E. Mann Ballroom is a first class facility that is made available for the use of military ID card holders (Active Duty, Retired, Civilian Employees and their family members) at a reasonable cost.
The below is a listing of the different fees we have. The fees include use of the ballroom, kitchen, bathrooms, tables, chairs and lobby.
a. Non-Military Function Rate: $500.00 for 8 hours, $50.00 per hour for each additional hour.
Deposit: $125.00 with remaining balance due within 30 days of signing contract. If less than 30 days,
full payment due.
b. Unit Non-Military Function Rate: $250.00 for 8 hours, $25.00 per hour for each additional hour.
Deposit: $125.00 with remaining balance due within 30 days of signing contract. If less than 30 days, full payment due.
c. Official Military Function Rate: No Charge
d. Fund Raisers: Not Permitted
If the event is catered by the Fort Jackson Club System, the rental cost of the ballroom is half price. A copy of the signed contract for catering is required.
Size of Ballroom: 5,000 square feet, hardwood floor with stage.
Tables: We have 16 (96" x 36") tables and 20 (60" diameter) tables.
Chairs: We have 340 chairs. The ballroom authorized occupancy is 328.
Alcoholic Beverages: Only beer, wine and champaign are allowed. No hard alcohol is allowed on premises.
We do not cater, decorate, nor do we set up for functions. We do not have any linen or cooking utensils.
The sponsor (ID card holder) renting the ballroom will be there when the ballroom is being set up and during the entire function and will not leave
until everything is checked out by personnel on duty.
